Our Story
Bonjour! I'm Claire-Lise, the creative force behind Mossyloom. United by our love for art, nature, storytelling and sustainability, my husband David and I embarked on a journey to blend these loves into something truly special.
Our journey began when David, our four boys, and I embarked on a new adventure, moving from France to the enchanting town of Ulverston in 2022. Nestled in the heart of the Lake District, this picturesque landscape became our inspiration, igniting our passion for environmental conservation, and exploration. Little did we know, this journey would lead us to the birth of Mossyloom.
It was during one of our family hikes to Easdale Tarn, that the breathtaking beauty of nature sparked an idea that would blossom into Mossyloom. Surrounded by pristine landscapes and serenity, the seeds of our project and founding values took root.
The name Mossyloom, embodies our ethos: the weaving together of natural elements to craft something truly unique. Like the intricate threads of a loom, we carefully intertwine the raw beauty of nature with artistic craftsmanship to create pieces that evoke a sense of connection to the world around us.
In the realm of technology, David takes the lead, bringing his expertise to the table to ensure Mossyloom runs smoothly behind the scenes.
On the creative front, you'll find me, immersed in the vibrant world of art and education. When I'm not shaping young minds at the primary school where I work, you'll likely find me amidst the fells, drawing inspiration from the breathtaking landscapes of the Lake District. Crafting and painting are my sanctuary, allowing me to weave the beauty of nature into every piece of art I create.
Join us on this journey as we blend the beauty of traditional craftsmanship with a modern commitment to sustainability. Thank you for being a part of our adventure and for choosing Mossyloom to adorn your home with pieces that are not just beautiful, but also meaningful.
With love and gratitude,
Claire-Lise & David
